A Life Led Following Symbols

A Life Led Following Symbols

A Poem by Chris G. Vaillancourt

I will deny everything and nothing and all that I know.
Condition my eyes to see what is wanted.
Force my brain to think as it must.

But who had determined the "must" and the "should"?
Who has created the rules and the sight?

I wonder as I wander through the tight skin of repression.

In turmoil and recall I am what I am not.

Confusion and confusing.

Rolling and strolling.

Being and beginning.

Ending and forever.

Forever, yes, forever, that is what one must
be aiming for. Ignore the never for it
means nothing at all.  Nothing at all, at all.

Rejoice in the Christmas trees splattered
like weeds though the windows.

Pretending that the joy of the season
is manifested in reality.

And reality is a choice.
They don't tell you that in school.

A voice is power. Another lesson
they do not share.

Conform and reform are the tools of the trade.
Reborn in the image of medium I.Q.

Shift the eyes to the floor.

Don't question the Symbols!!!!

I agree, unless it involves mathematics. Only then, and only then, can you question them because everybody fears math.

F**k the system. That is what humanity must do to stop this cycle of idiocy and abuse! Great poem
