Amongst the Sludge

under question

an open heart

progresses

from forgiving to forgiven.

you and I

sanctifying ourselves

in illuminated

ceremony.

whims and transgressions

which indiscretion

follows.

ripple onwards

in

occidental wonder.

toward the coast-land.

you and I

sheltered with

harsh puzzles.

                   and then

                   searchlights open

                   into

                   possibilities.

                                   amongst the sludge

                                    I wander in and out

                                    of attention.

This poem felt cleansing. I love the way you go from being "sheltered with harsh puzzles" to "searchlights open into possibilities." Its as if the author is coming to terms with the fact that all of life's challenges will inevitably be conquered. Loved it
