Drink Is A DragA Poem by Chris G. VaillancourtPublished in "Shadows of Reality". 1985Drink is a drag. Makes me come out with pain. Makes me bitter and mad. Makes me violent, depressed, afraid. Drink is a drag. Don't need no artificial world to live within. Don't want no plastic bottle induced planet of black and grey shadows. Don't need no seedy scenes which brings me to hate everyone. Which brings me to hate myself. Drink is a drag. A waste of time and effort. A waste of love and pride. Makes me afraid, so very afraid. Drink is a drag. I should know it. © 2012 Chris G.
