If I never loved you

If I never loved you

A Poem by Sandra Rains DeBusk
"

Thankfullness, love and appreciation

"

As the rain pours down , I think about my life
I wonder where I'd be today, if I wasn't your wife
Would I have finished school?, Or maybe moved away?
would I be someones fool? In worse shape than I am today?
If I never loved you, where would I be?
If I never loved you, who would love me?

If I didn't have you, to hold me at night
would I lay all alone and cry?, I might

If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have my children
and I'd be so lonely and torn, who'd call me mommy then?

If I never loved you
I would have never learned to love me
And I would be so lost
In this great big world of greed

So, thank you for allowing me
to love and need you babe
for loving you and knowing you
Has made me what I am today

I felt very touched by this piece - I don't care much for fancy word poetry either, I like sentimental mushy stuff. I like feelings, and when I read this piece I hear your heart speaking. I also hear your generous nature coming through. That you are a better, happier person because of your mate, that is what I hear loud and clear. Warm and fuzzy stuff...it's calming, nice to read at night......

I love the sincerity in this.
A lot of people are responsible for the happiness we achieve in life but rarely do we let them know what they mean to us.

Your husband must have felt so good to hear this.

I liked it also because I could relate to it somewhat. I've felt this way about someone and continue to do so but I've lost the chance to tell him.

Excellent write.
Very emotional and moving.
