Silent Soldier

Silent Soldier

"

Silently, he persists, never telling her what he feels inside, even until death.

Silent Soldier

By Alasse Fefalas

I watched you live
I watched you die
I watched you stay on
In the middle night and cry

All your problems
As hard as I try
To erase from your mind
From your body I pry

You were always there for me
As was I for you
But never would have thought
Me to fall right through

So many times it repeated
So many times you repented
But yet you never learnt
And alas, neither did I

How unbecoming of me
Afraid -  that I was
Of losing all that matters
Offered to all for free

And now, I watch silently
Your final breath taken away
Your last death, body cold
My heart and sanity fray

No words, not even one
Too afraid to say
The one thing that mattered
That was the price to pay

They move me aside
I listen not to them
For I was already in my fantasy
"It is all a scam!"

"From me to you" said
The letter in my post
In it three words unspoken forever
Was what hurt the most.

Alasse Fefalas
I was trying to write in a different way, as seen if you have read my previous works. What do you think?
