Friend

Friend

A Poem by Saumya
"

a piece for one and all those great being, who make our lives worth...

"
Light, that ends
dark's existence,
Snow, that adorns
the mountains,
The cool breeze
that imparts calmness,
hopefulness and patience,
Music, that  heals
heart's ailments,
Joy, that deters
pain's commencement,
and everything magnificent,
which is beyond definition,
is an incredible creature,
called....Friend

The one, who's
ever ready
to heal all your pains,
The one, who can
tolerate you
in any condition,
The one, who
perceives you
in all situations,
and A treasure, completely different
from any other possessions..

The one, who's the happiest,
and celebrates more than you,
on your success and achievements,
The one, whom you can ask and tell for anything
any moment,
The one, who always
relishes your presence,
and  is equally sad,
in your destruction
The one who is sometimes,
more caring then parents,

The one, whom you can
disturb any moment,
and merrily enjoys it
every now and and then..
The one who helps you,
in all conditions,
the one who's always fond of you
no matter how horrible or great
you have been to them,
And the one who makes your heart
cry loudly...'here lies the best person'
Such is an incredible treasure,
called...Friend

An indispensable element
of one's life,
like salt, in brine solution,
body, without legs and hands,
sunlight, without sun
and life, without enthusiasm..

Friends... they make us happy, they make us sad. Life seeks balance, always and change is the only constant. Everything has its limits; everything can "break." Even friends. Beyond life, who knows? Perhaps the rules change then. Perhaps.

100 constant changes

thanx Ana:)
Saumya I liked much of this. I don't know if you consciously avoided ending with one of the stanzas that finish with the word Friend - I think it would have lent a final 'Ahh' to the work. I felt that the last stanza was an afterthought or a separate piece - maybe it could have been included earlier - also it contains 1 example of a 'with' - the brine, but then 3 examples of without which sullied the end for me.
This here -
"The one, who's the happiest,
and celebrates more than you,
on your success and achievements..."
blew me away - its for me the Gem - its glorious!!

I really liked the poems imagery of a perfect friend and more to the point a compassionate friend.
The idea of placing ones own needs above their own has always rang true in my ideals as a friend and is displayed lovingly and thoughtfully.

My only adjustments would be to shorten for potency. But unfiltered and true to you is always the truest form.

Thanks for a beautiful read.

thank you Aaron:) m happy that you got the zest of my write:)
Friends really are an important part of a person's life.
Without a friend, life can be... well.... I don't think it will be a life if you won't have any friends.
Nice poem overall.
You write simply and your poems contain a powerful message. That's why I love your poems.
Keep writing :-)
- Your friend

thank you:) m happy you enjoyed the write!:)
Again, lovely imagery… very emotive.

NOTES: I'm not sure the color works with this one. And, again, I recommend a second copy editing pass and finding a balanced meter. It helps to read a piece aloud when trying to find that balance. There's a musical quality to language and especially to poetry.

I have had a difficult time collecting friends for the most part. I imagine the reason for that is my nomadic lifestyle for a huge part of my life. I was never around long enough to develop "real" friends, it seemed I was always moving on down the road or across that mountain. I believe I have found a few friends via the Internet, but I'll probably never know for sure . . . Sorry to appear so gloomy, I really don't feel that way, it is just a fact of life for me. Enjoyed your poem very much.

n about friends,mmmm... i think friendship takes times, .. read more
O! This is amazing. The language, the content, and the repetition of 'The one' which is more than the name you called it 'Friend' I perceived that 'friend' is the man that lives above. The poem is inspiring, touching, especially when we understand that there is somebody who's for us in every situation. Well done Saumya. Hope you will write again.
