Until the Last Minute

Until the Last Minute

A Poem by Savanna Robbins
"

A description of major depression

"
Lost in the darkness
I feel my pain
Tears burning my eyes
My pulse beating
Which I dread
I wish for the quiet
No more sound
Or evil snickers
I bend more each moment
Until one day I snap
No more pain
No more hope
No more fear

Depression is all to real. It came upon me, I am a fighter, can't throw in the towel yet. thanks for the lovely poem.

Depression is indeed dark and there seem to be evil snickers everywhere. I am hoping that when you bend, and snap, it will be a 'snapping out of it'! I know of people who have gotten over depression, and now enjoy life. I hope the 'I' in your moving poem will also find this.

Profound and moving poem. Well-describes the darkness and despair of depression that so often lead to self-destructive behavior. Lovely form, flow, cadence. The last three lines are so heart- breaking. Well-penned.
