False Hope

False Hope

A Poem by Scarlet M.

I was never against the notion of love at first sight,

but for you to speak

of such words halfheartedly,

I started to doubt.

Take responsibility,

for the words you just said,

and the promises

you still haven’t done

If not at all, then forget,

erase everything;

make all these remaining

feelings disappear

along with the piece of me

you had already stolen.

Painfully in love. I can feel the words.
