Think and Listen

Think and Listen

A Poem by Rebecca_Rose

What ifs,
Would yous,
Could yous,
For instances.

Dare to dream.
Ask hypotheticals,
Begin to wonder,
Be skeptical,
Question everything.

Vague answers,
Offering no knowledge.
How are you?
I'm ok.
That's good,
See ya,
Take care.
I cannot bear,
The ones who don't listen,
but wait their turn to speak.

The vapid will wither.
And the skeptics will rise.
The followers will shiver,
While we're warm inside.

Gee
We have 2 ears and only 1mouth for good reason although there are many who love the sound of their own voice, and these are usually the ones with least reason to be spouting off.
Good morning

Listening is a rapidly disappearing art in the 'bout me' era of social media.
I like the thoughts in this one S R.
