You Broke Me

You Broke Me

A Poem by a schizophrenic writer

In the darkest of times,
I committed no crimes
but you left me for dead,
with our memories in my head.

Now I see you together,
I shake and I shiver,
I wince and I howl,
my head turns like an owl.

Now I'm all alone,
with nothing to atone.
So I wish on a star,
to drown in a bar.
Loaded with whiskey,
maybe I'll feel frisky
and call you that night,
pretending it's alright.
Then I'll beg and I'll plead,
I'll cry and I'll bleed,
all for you to see,
what's really happened to me.
