Lady Winter

Lady Winter

A Story by Michael G. Smith
"

death is majestic in winters wake

"

Thy apparition haunts…

 As does a derelict dream

Wraps of lattice gowns swirling

Cyclones amidst the autumn breeze

Thy beauty rivals myth’s Medusa

Stone cold kisses upon tis cheek

Letcher, a world falls hapless

Goddess, gaze all which live to sleep

Is it love or be it vengeance

Tell me, what is it that thou seeks

Oh why, death must be thy accomplice

With every breath for which thou breathe

Thy apparition taunts, frozen hearts

Takes no prisoners of love lost upon thee

Becoming shimmering frost embers within thy wake

Loyal subjects to the Lady Winter Queen
