Swallow Me

Swallow Me

A Poem by Nina
"

How love can enslave you, willingly.

"

I may well have been a supernova, blinded by my own iridescence

Dying so beautifully that I had no notion of self-detstruction

All other beings fleeing before me and yet, you dared approach

But your darkness that suddenly surrounded me, it glittered

Reflecting in my eyes the feeling that had me on my knees, wanting you

And wanting to vomit my heart out at your feet

You, with the darkness of a new moon, binding me

By the rosary of onyx and steel wielded by your heart

So swallow me whole, dark-eyed demon of timelessness

And spit me back out in your hand, a purified diamond

Welded into the heart of that precious rosary that is your faith

Perhaps you needed the light that I had no use for

Or perhaps you wanted to enslave the destructive force that I was

If only to prove that you could, but no matter the case

You've ensured that my heart will always be close to yours.
