Blueberry Pie~

Blueberry Pie~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
"

~hmm~

"

I baked it

From the liquid ink of my heart

Plucked each aortal gem

From symmetrical branches

Of arteries;

Of course I am being rather silly

Dreaming in Pulp Fiction

But I am quite sincere

Not the evil witch

Of a gingerbread house

More like the good witch

In the grip of an unusual obsession

With the culinary arts

I baked it from the tattoos

Imprinted in my skin

Butterfly fruit in honeyed

bread belly

A circular sweet

Cooling on a window sill

I know the Prince will be back

From the Bayou

And then I will take his name tag

Pin it to the door

Pin him to my hips

My lips stained

With blueberries

My soul stained

With infidelity

As I conveniently

Desperately

Try to ignore

The despicable gold band

That always ruins the mood

And as always

I will pin his name tag

to his button down shirt

box the pie

send him back into the swamp

to face hungry alligators

And I pout

And pluck

And bake

And decide to treat myself

To a full

Pink and white set

Appointment at 11

Nothing like a nice

Set of nails

To scratch

The unavailable man

Off the cutting board

And this poem was supposed to be

A blueberry seduction

Damn morals

the first olfactory hint titillates...and as the mouth begins to water tantalizes... until the sweet tart blueberry filling overwhelms...left no doubt on this window sill by chance, with maybe just a slight titch of malice aforethought!

the seduction is really the poem, and the allure created by the delicious wisps of innuendo. You are so masterful!

uncharacteristically I like this passage best:

"And as always
I will pin his name tag
to his button down shirt
box the pie
send him back into the swamp
to face hungry alligators"

it tastes of reality ;-)

I don't even like blueberry pie, but I suddenly have a
taste for some. You weaved us into this sweet treat to be seduced,
leaving a taste for more. There is a mysterious, mystic feel,
with down the earth sweetness.

Ah, love the playfulness of this one. Sweet indulgence of thought followed by adherence of actions to moral expectations, capped off with a distraction of self to keep the unconscious at bay... Only you... ;)

Fantastic images telling of the woman who takes as she pleases much to the dissatisfaction of those she thieves from! The calm glee she takes from the entire experience. Brilliantly done =D

So I suffocate blue like blood before it taste oxygen. Seduction's flavor a taste of longing. Blue berries are said to be good for the body, but blue ballz are a painful afterthought. And you say pie, like you know it tastes so sweat, well it does! LOL

Selene, I becoming a great fan of your work, I love to play off your images left in my head after a read, and yours are sooo sweat in, well let's just say, "hmm!!!"

Great Writing!
RLG,
Tommy

P.S. it won't let me give it a 1000!

Life can be so bittersweet at times... some things in our life can bring us happiness and sadness at the same time. You have quite a way with words that take us on a roller coaster of emotions.

haha only you could twist the baking of a pie into this de-fairytale haha - "nothing like a nice set of nails to scratch the unavailable man off the cutting board" - brilliant!! your imagination is never ending!

Sometimes you really scare us. Jake and I are looking forward to dinner with you, especially now. Make sure to bring your scary with you. It's a turn on, like this poem. WE LOVE YOUR MIND! See you at 7!
