Many people don’t believe in evolution

But I’m determine to evolve

Then I’ll start a revolution

And get the masses involved

 

We’ll spread the message like pollution

Love will be our cause

Hate needs a substitution

Or else- nothing will be solved

 

We will be immune to evil

A sickness that can

 Never again take control

No more hatred or animosity

It’s like cancer to the soul

 

No more violence or war

One day we’ll look back in horror

And wonder, what was it all for?

One day we’ll rise above the fray…

And be disgusted

By the way we behaved…

 

Racism

Sexism

Slavery

The holocaust

War of religions

Terrorism

Torture…

How could we have been so lost?

As a people

We don’t have a choice

But to evolve

Or else-

As a people…

We will all dissolve.

Review for Change the World Comp
Even negativity evolves a soul, due to all the 'bad' events in my past I evolved into who I am. The revolution is already happening, all across the world there are riots and protests as people discover their voices. We must maintain that momentum. I also think a great deal of people are already disgusted by humanities actions. Your line 'We'll spread the message like pollution' makes the message sound negative and detrimental to change. Otherwise this is a great and genuine piece.

Wow this is activist poetry, I truly respect this! The ideal of progress is one of the last enlightenment values that I think can empower the youth to change the world. Because 40 year olds with fat cushy jobs or security (with the need to provide for families) aren't going to change the world, sorry.

Well written my friend, riddle me this how does one defeat hatred in a society without first being able to identify it? how and what degree do we evolve to without revolving to a prime idea of superiority?

2nd I agree we must I identify hatred to defeat it...and it starts within oneself
The root of the "superiority mindset" is really self hatred

If you defeat self-hatred, there will be no room superiority of any kind

Overcoming self doubt and insecurities is a great thing, that's growth

but when your self-hatred manifest its self in ways that puts down others, just so u can feel superior...that's destructive- on all ends

difficult to determine the meanings behind this my friend were tumbling down the rabbit hole on this one and its good, theres always bigger fish in the sea, and if you put too much meaning behind any feelings it will consume and destroy especially love the mind built to forget and grow so for me we will always need something to hate and for every thing you have listed there are about 10000 tragic stories that will never be told
