If Love were Radiation

If Love were Radiation

A Poem by wolfie

I am disturbed
These toxic fumes are collecting like a second skin
Intoxication brewing in my mind
Hazy mazes contorting my vision keep breathing it all in
Letting it seep into my cells
There is a glow distorting myself
Until all my senses are cut and lost
I swear I can hear God
Repeating a single word
This radiation is carrying your name
Driving me insane
A venomous concoction with your label scribbled on it
I peel it away
Doesn't change that it is what it is
And like a warning from the Devil
I tilt the vial back
It burns down my throat
I'm hearing angels
They are screeching like imps
This is no black and white story
No secret allegory
Just another lost soul
Stuck in that web
Dying inside and out
If Love were Radiation
I'm leaving stained
No way I'm getting out alive
