Moving On

A collab by:
MR.WRITER AND KESHA

Dressed as a bride, she waited;
waited for prince charming to take her
But unfortunately, he never came;
and she was left to wait, forever

Faces watched her from every direction,
Waited for her tears to come,
Quietly she stormed off;
and never glanced back at the empty space
where he should have stood.

All of her dreams slowly shattered;
like if she was injured and were to fade away
Unable to control her emotions she stood;
stood out in the crashing rain
Pouring her soul out to it.

Collapsing to her knees;
Ruining her white dress,
She stared up at the grey clouds;
and wondered why her life was in pieces,
wondered when things would be better

When suddenly, an angel appeared;
appeared from those grey clouds
Giving her hope and comfort
Shining her with pixie dust
And like prince charming, vanished as well

Happiness washed over her
And she realized that she controlled
her own destiny,
her own fate,
she just had to get up and
make the best of it.

She pulled herself up;
up from the rigid ground
And saw the sun come out
Days later, she went to Paris;
went for a change;
to forget about her loss

Ever since that day,
Instead of cursing him,
she thanked him for leaving,
for if he hadn't,
she never would have had the courage
to become the person she is today.

Thank you Capolavoro! :)
Wow that was just superb. Roller coaster ride, and I like it ends with new hope and a fresh new start.

Thank you so much Wajiha! Kesha and I really appreciate it
This is so very strong, something that can lighten up the hearts of the people who are feeling low, who are broken to pieces. A really uplifting and imaginative poem!

My pleasure:)
Like I said in Kesha's post of this collab, I really love how your styles mix together so well.
The storytelling in this poem is amazing. I think it's a beautiful story of moving on from pain.
This left such an empowering feeling at the end.
