Why?

To be honest, I just wrote this to pour some feelings out...

I only feel sadness

because that's all the world gives me;

reasons to be sad and hopeless 

When something good happens;

it ends as quick as a gunshot

as if it never happened before

Those good things boost me up;

fill my world with rainbows and light

but, why'd they have to end so fast?

Couldn't they have lasted longer

and make me feel like a person anymore?

No though, they just had to leave

A small suggestion, add WHY? in the last... in context of your title... and as far as the poem goes... this is.exactly what i keep telling myself always...Why??? Every good thing has to end ...???? Nice work..very common feel so very relatable too. I wish it was a bit longer..
But it does look complete... so keep up the good work...looking forward for more. ...good luck

Nicely written, short and straight to the point, but not choppy. If I had to critique, I'd say if you were to add question marks and semicolons, you'd maybe want to add periods as well. That's only a suggestion out of a perfectionist's point of view. Overall a nice piece.
