COME DOWN

COME DOWN

A Poem by shadowtigers
"

"I will be right here waiting for you"

"

Do you remember the times
When we were lost inside each other?
When you said that your wings
Would carry us far away from here
You promised our love was eternal
But did you really mean forever

When only thoughts remain
When your touch fades away
When the cold seeps in again
I will be waiting for you
When the world dies away
When the heavens fade to gray
When you fall from grace
I will be waiting for you
To come down
To come back to me

Just like another star in the sky
I watch you burn so brightly
I send you one last kiss
One prayer before you fall
So you might return to my arms
After everything is gone

So we can be together
So we can be together

When only thoughts remain
When your touch fades away
When the cold seeps in again
I will be waiting for you
When the world dies away
When the heavens fade to gray
When you fall from grace
I will be waiting for you
To come down
To come back to me...

You always have such sweet beauty and emotion behind your words. It'd be nice to hear it as a song with some simple music backing it.
