Shipless harbors

Shipless harbors

A Poem by .:Arianna:.

And there i stood......
where the lights of the city were still burning...
Dawn was approaching,
endless dawn for my mourning...
for a soul forever yearning..

And there i stood.....
A glimpse of myself in the river,
everflowing restless and aware
to the same direction always...
hindering the woods and city meet..

Is there no ship awaiting me??

From where i gaze the stars are veiled
the waters darken and the moon fades..
From where i stand hope has failed,
only a haze from where i gaze..

And here i stand...
while the sun is crowned golden,
and the moon flees to the west..
if only i could do the same...
throw off the sickness from my chest..
But i cannot,so here i stand,
with only a flower in my hand..
one that does not wax and wane.

No dawn for this maiden..
for i fear she runs aloft
in worlds with no doors,
no keys and no exits..

And here now i still stand,
but my mind is far away...
free and independent,
where i am not astray
and angels lead the way...

"From where i gaze the stars are veiled

i love this-you have a real talent for imagery...
and the last verse makes this poem whole--perfect...
...and this verse...
"No dawn for this maiden..
for i fear she runs aloft
in worlds with no doors,
no keys and no exits..."
wow-you really know how to set the mood...
...so well expressed and well written...
...i love this...
