why do I have to be shy

I raise up my head up high

even asking you makes me nervous makes my heart race and makes me feel I might die

even though people make it look easy as pie

This is short, innocent and pure. It does make you think, hiding behind a wall of doubt and insecurities seems so much harder than just going out and expressing your heart. Then again, i'm super shy as well so I can relate to your words.
