' The Longing'

As I sit alone
Gathering my thoughts together
Her eyes bring in
A breath of fresh air
Those desolate roads
Lined with bare trees
Ah!The barren soul
So filled with love and longing
Those eyes, my undoing
Fill the tresses with
Leaves of hope
Branches of desire
Entwining together to
Blossom in spring
To shed the lonliness
Spread your arms
To Encircle my emotions
For I need a safe haven
A haven of body and soul
Nothing more, nothing less
Those eyes, my undoing

What sacred, sweet longing, to become one with your lover and to have you both melt into this beautiful haven of life.
