This Knight, This Night

This Knight, This Night

A Poem by shallimarRose

Her words

For thy gallantry

thy bravery

thou has indeed served

my fathers throne in honor

with the touch of

this sword

I dub thee

Sir Sterling

knight to the king

Her thoughts

Oh if I could only

bear my soul to thee

tell thee of my love

thou art the morning sun

and evening breeze

A knight tonight

yet in my eyes.....

a prince among men

Alas... this forbidden love

forever kept secret in my heart

And thus

with the touch of the sword

He is Knighted

She turns and walks away

bearing the secret in her soul

her heart beats his name

knowing this love can never be

for hers is a chosen future

written in the books

yet what is written in the stars

this knight, this night

will forever burn in her heart

Thou penned a great romantice piece. For the one that is deemed forbidden lies within the heart hoping one day what lies comes to fruition.

Very interesting tall of a yearning. I've yearned before. Yearning is not all it's cracked up to be if the one you yearn for never returns the yearn.
