World Peace

World Peace

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

Oh were are all the men,

Who fought with valor beyond ken?
Who battled and died in plight?
To bring their country from darkness to light!

The raising faith, the failing hope,
To attain peace is there at least a little scope?
Change is the constant thing in this world,
Still why is this world, always in hatred and war twirled?

We, bros and sis still stand as strangers in different lands,
Unable to smile in peace and with joy holding our hands,
Darkness in thoughts and deeds,
Often in war it misleads.

The cry of the baby is still not heard in the sound of cannons,
With tears of loss, unable to measure beyond gallons,
When can people have peace and harmony?
To celebrate the world peace as one big ceremony!

With peace ruling our mother earth,
Lets commemorate the day as earth's rebirth!
No more sound of bomb blast,
Let only the sound of laughs forever last.

. wow! ... that's such a beautifully earnest write ... no one's thinking about peace any more ... but perhaps therein lies the need for your voice ... an amazing read ...
