Sound Of Rain

Sound Of Rain

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

Ushhhh, wzzzzzhhhh
The trees were swaying,
No birds were there
To fly in the air,
The leaves fell from the trees,
Rushing down in breeze,
Particles of sand, along with it went swooping.

Ushhhhhh, wzzzzzzzzhh
Shhhhhh, wzzzzzhhhh
Outside there was heavy sound of rain,
And all the birds together got huddled,
Little birds, within their mother’s wings cuddled,
It was not the actual sound of rain that everyone can hark,
It was the noise of the cicadas, that was heard in the dark,
From inside the trees, it made sound like rain, again and again.
