Tiny Feet

Tiny Feet

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

When I first saw you,
My heart missed a beat,
I felt so fresh and anew,
Touching your tiny feet.

Roses are soft and red,
So are you my little darling,
I’ll carefully lay you on bed,
My sweet angel without wing!

Soon you shall walk and run,
And chase those little birds,
Looking at you is so much fun,
To speak I’ve no words.

You are my god’s lovely gift,
A true blessing to be proud,
My motherhood you uplift,
And make me float in cloud.

I can totally imagine the feeling a mother gets when she holds her baby for the first time ~ The nine months she had the baby in her womb, the pain she goes through while giving birth, and when the baby is finally there, she feels it was all totally worth it. Giving birth is one of the most beautiful things in the world and that is one reason why I appreciate women ... they have the power to give life.
This poem is a reflection of all these and it is also written beautifully and innocently.
I am very touched by this poem.. Congratulations for your badge.
Very, very beautifully penned.

This is a very sweet, inspiring piece uplifting the quintessential spirit of your motherhood. As a mom of a cute little daughter, I can relate to every word you write here and every picture you intend to paint of your little angel through the lines of the poem. It is a sublime experience to be gifted with this angelic being with tiny feet; and trust me, to be a huge part of her life and to see her grow every day is as rapturous as reaching for the stars and floating in the cloud. These little wonders truly makes your mundane, everyday lives extraordinary and surreal.

SUBLIME..WHEN YOU WRITE FROM YOUR SOUL I CAN ONLY SAY... YOU HAVE TOUCHED MY HEART SO DEEPLY, TEARS ROLLED DOWN MY FACE INTO MY SOUL.
THAT'S HOW MUCH I LIKE YOUR POETRY ...DON'T ASK ME AGAIN !
i LOVE YOUR VERSES.. LETTER BY LETTER AND TREASURED YOU.. SO MUCH.. YOUR LITTLE FRIEND.. MUAH
YOU ARE...

You are my god’s lovely gift,
A true blessing to be proud,
My motherhood you uplift,
And make me float in cloud.
