If I Die Tonight

If I Die Tonight

A Poem by Ice Penada
"

I wonder who will be.

"

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Missing me tomorrow

Buried in a sorrow

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Crying at my funeral

Saying I was special

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Calling my phone

Wondering if I’m alone

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Calling my name

Pretending everything is still the same

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Regretting their last words

And the part they played in my world

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Thinking they should’ve told me

That I shouldn’t end my life tragically

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Hoping they can talk to me again

Hoping a closure to what we began

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Sorry for being insensitive

For not noticing how I tried to live

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be

Looking through my files

And imagining my smiles

If I die tonight,

I wonder who will be
