The dream dance

The dream dance

A Poem by Aradie Rain
"

Written for a contest, must include love anger, pie, sanity, earth, rain, and somthing you would say to a lover.

"

As I lay down on my pillow

I hope and I pray

To dream of love, earth or rain.

Each night

Is a dance dream or nightmare?

Which one will come tonight?

I hope, that my love so dearly

Comes to me in my dream

whispering sweet things in my ear

"I love you

I miss you

I wish you were here"

I have not seen him in forever...

this last thought before I sleep

fills me with anger and rage

Why does he have to be so far away?

God, I miss him so!

I can remember the last time I saw him

He walked across thr parking lot

In the pouring rain

He lifted me up

into his arms

and hugged me so tight

He knew i would be years

before fate brought us back together

He put me down

and walked th other way

did not look back

I went into the dinner

the lady gave me some free pie

she saw what had happened

As I started eating my pie

I realized it was made out of earth

A soiled crust with a muddy filling

I looked up at the waitress

Who smiled at me

"It's mudd pie dear"

I countinued eating

and people started to fade away

The man next to me, the children eating icecream

The waitress was the last to go

I was screaming for them to come back

Knowing my sanity was at stake

I ran towards her

she disapeared

along with everything else

I started to fall

the darkness

folding onto me

I woke up with a scream

Realizing it was just a dream

And Lay down again

to start the dance again
