Craving Pain

Craving Pain

A Poem by Aradie Rain

A question I have been asking myself lately

Ripping through my body

My past feasts on old memories.

Scrapping away at my heart

My past crawls back.

Death suckling on my breast

Following me everywhere I go.

Where do I go from here?

Pain is all I know.

Can I live without it?

Or will I soon start to crave it?

pain, like many addictions, can be quite hard to avoid .. especially when you begin to analyze or try to engage it with questions as the answers are sometimes quite overwhelming .. please be careful if these feelings become stronger and tell friend or parent .. so many i have lost from pain .. very well done on expressing your poem's message

Oh the yin and the yang...without pain we cannot know joy. This writing holds true for myself and I am sure many others
