The end

The end

A Poem by ShaneBerry
"

"God No..."

"
The end
He raised his hand to the sky,
It could be seen, even though it was far away.
A mountain in space, moving to us
It would be quick, but we feared the pain.
The man in the middle of the street,
He held his arms out,
As if to welcome it.
Even if we die, life goes on ,
On a micro level,
But still,
As I looked around at the families
Who were in shock,
Frozen in place.
I said,
“God no…”

Dear Shane,

Another nice commentary and observation relating to people and an honest assesment of yourself, too. Keep up with this honesty. It's all we have.

Yes, "Even if we die, life goes on." And even if ALL life dies (on this planet) the Universe goes on. And what's more it (the Universe) simply doesn't care. Nonetheless, even if you believe this, that doesn't change who we are. That doesn't change our human reaction and in the end we say "God no..."

Again, greatly enjoyed.

Very best regards,

Rick
