Another one

Another one

A Poem by ShaneBerry

I pump,

And lift the iron up

Pain in my arms like no other.

My muscles tear

My body wears

Sweat pours

I let out a roar

I shout as I lift

Pumping my fist

Another one!

My heartbeat runs

I burn like the sun!

Another one!

I find pumping iron almost as therapeutic as writing or playing music. each one satisfies in a different way but yet in the same way. keep pumping

HaHo,
I know the feeling. I split and haul wood daily. The most intense work for me is moving massive rocks(out of my garden) and chill out in my sweatlodge that is as hot as the sun(I was told) then I am ready for the next day.
Creature of habit when I am home, unless I sense different, then it's whisper mode.

I will remember this next time I'm pumping iron. You capture the feeling very well. Keep getting swoll! (apologies for the enthusiasm of my athletic alter ego)

To find poetry in every activity we do..and in every thing we see..what else could you ask for.

You are very straight forward…
When you express yourself…
I like the uprightness in your lines…
Loved this short poem….very much..

The desire of muscle take great pain and hard work. I was in the Army for 15 years. I can break down a complete body down in 40 minutes. The grass drill is about 500 push-ups and 500 sit-up non-stop in 20 minutes. Ending with a trip to the pull-up bars. A very good poem. I could feel the pain in your words. A excellent poem.

I can relate, bein' an ol' barbell wrangler. Just beware of too much tear!

I could see this as a workout poster. . .;-)
