Death

Death

A Chapter by ShaneBerry
"

I have thought allot about death recently. from a traumatic break up, to family issues, to everyone i know being gone for one reason or another, depression became my best friend. but that changed.

"

Death

Out of Breath,

The beginning of death.

No one beside,

No one is near,

Cold,

Bitter and old.

The reaper enters.

He is the keeper,

The shepherd,

And I,

I am the Leper,

The dying,

The dead,

And my last breath

Before my eternal rest.

Please take me quickly,

Death.

I love the flow of this poem; it's very intense and just carries you along. The imagery you evoke is dark and hurried - which reminds us of that final frenzy before death. Nice work.

This is an excellent write...Very gloomy...Very dark and sinister....Just one thing that is wrong...This poem has been done and re-done...Washed over and wiped away...And then re-done again....I am of course not speaking of your write but the death concept itself....Still all in all very good in your wording and take on the subject...Good job

Short and to the point...
Good.

Two things we must do. Be born and to die. I like the directness of the words. A excellent poem.
