A Story by Shannon

Butterflies gracefully flutter in the open meadow. Free. Flowers host the show. Quiet winds dance along with the trees. My back magnetically closes against the fresh, spring grass and I get out a long moan. Relaxation rushes through my body like wind fire. Not one ferocious thought passes through my mind. My eyes regard the big finale- sunset. The sun grows lovely and falls into the trees, out of sight. Time slows and the divine rhythm of my heartbeat feels it is coming to a sleep. I start to grow eager. My ears gather the frill song of earth, the song ignored by most of humanity. Gravity stops and I breathe lightly through my nose. The scent of soft tulips rush into my system and give me sympathy. I close my eyes, not because I want to, but because the scene I am witnessing is too good to be true. I wake up.
