I know it's rude to stare,
And my mind tells me to look away,
But I just ignore,like I really don't care.

I know if I open my heart and tell you everything,
There are chances I may get betrayed,
But I am unable to control it since I feel something.

I know there are people better than me,
Pretty, smart and way out of my league,
But I wish I could be the only one you'd see.

I know I should walk away,
But it's quite difficult since
I have fallen hard for you,
And when I'm just about to turn my heart wins making me stay.

I know you'll never look at me the way I do,
But my heart wishes otherwise,
And sadly my heart already belongs to you.

But,wait a minute! We fall in love with the most unexpected person at the most expected time,
And I pray that maybe,
One day you'll notice and you'll be mine.

Ya know Heith?
I think, when the heart makes its choice, there is little we can do but hope that whomever it's chosen, their heart will choose ours right back. But, that is the miracles of love and attraction that is often more rare and wonderful than we'd hoped for.
Still, we have little (if any) control over the heart's choices, and there may be many in our lives to live through, to learn, and give us so much we'd never have had in any other ways.
And, because of this learning and growing stronger (painful though it may be), as the wise and knowing Alfred Lord Tennyson put it, " 'Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."
We may hope and pray it all comes true, or we may fail many times before finding that perfect soulmate, our hearts will never let us rest until we do.
I never heard it said more powerfully and emotionally true than through the wonder of the magic in your lovely emotional words that reach right in and grip the heart's very pulse-beats … ummm, I love it!
What could be more honest and sincere feeling than:

"I know you'll never look at me the way I do,
But my heart wishes otherwise,
And sadly my heart already belongs to you."

You are right Richard ,when the heart makes choice there's little that we can do ,but hope.
The lines that you highlited are my favourite .
I don't know how I could write this when I haven't even experienced it but then it's like my heart knew I had to write it.funny ,but you can expect that when you are attached to literature. It itself is definition of emotions.you don't need to experience to know it.
Those lines that you quoted by Tennyson are my all time favourite.
It reminds me that the heart wants what.it wants.
