A ghost

A ghost

A Poem by Sharkapillar

There's a ghost's arm on my shoulder
A lost whisper in my ear
"Rabbit, cheer up!" it says to me
You know I'm always here

A deceptive breath warms my neck
Telling me I've nothing to fear
"Everything's fine when I'm around,
I've got your back, my dear."

I wish that I could see your face
I can't---and it stabs me like a spear
And I wish more than anything...
I wish you were here.

Love this. Aside from the haunting subject matter, it is beautifully written, well punctuated and expertly laid out. You've got talent in your eye...

This is such a sad write, so well expressed.
Sorry for your loss.

Loss is painful and "the" ghost can keep that person close to the heart.
And even though their body is no longer there, they're spirit within you
still lives on ... Sorry for your loss, S..

This was a really interesting poem. It had a powerful sad emotion behind it. Makes me curious of who it was about if anyone specific.

Strong emotive piece, very honest and heartfelt. Theres a real hole left in the heart after someones departure. Its a hole that can't be filled with all the sand of time, a real black hole sort of feeling.

Wow this did have a lot of emotion and sadness in it. I'm not sure if it was a friend or family member, but I am sorry for your loss. When I am down it always helps to vent my anger/pain/sadness etc on a piece of paper.

A lot of very raw emotion and passion in this poem, very well done.
