he stole it away like a thief in the dark.
He took my trust, my naked soul,
anything I had that would ever be whole.
His words were kind, his eyes were bright,
when he flashed his smile, there was no fight.
I gave into the need of my every desire,
his touch sent me ablaze like the hottest fire.
He knew what he had was nothing but charm,
he took me around, a trophy on his arm.
Alas, when I questioned, what do you see?
His reply meant nothing at all to me.
He couldn't find the words to tell me he cared,
I knew of all the other ladies that he had shared.
I guess he thought that I was blind and I never would see,
what this patronizing fool was doing to me.
He thought it was him who had control all along,
but he was to me, just another lyric to a song.

Hahaha. I love this. Very lyrical piece. well done my friend... this piece says a lot and is surprisingly deep because it is handled in a lighthearted way. nice twist. surprise ending. I love it!
