The Agony Of Self-Betrayal

The Agony Of Self-Betrayal

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr
"

This poem is self explanitory

"

I often betray myself, to satisfy someone else

I feel vindicated, once I've betrayed myself

Iam prejudice, against my very own feelings

Dehumanizing myself, ready and willing

Fear and control, of the need to please

I let myself be munipulated, to other's need

So much self-hate, for myself and bigotry

My life is full of doom, darkness, and trickery

Love has let me down, for so many times

I'm at the end of my rope, and losing my mind

When I betrayed myself, I lost self respect

I'm a coward and weakling, which I cannot protect

All I ever wanted was to be truly loved

I didn't realize I had it, from the heavens above

What can I do, to remove this vail

To release the Agony Of Self Betrayal

Very indepth look at what love makes us do, when we are no longer true to ourselves but deeply unhappy
with who we are.
I think wisdom and self worth helps, but one cannot follow ones heart, or we are not alive.Love has let us all down at some point, but we have to remember to also love ourselves, for only then can we love another with worth................

This is really nice my friend..
from what I see you are truly loved..in my ways,I just love to betray myself to satisfy others
That the utmost loveliness in someone,I never think you dehumanize yourself being ready and willing
Some very good lovely people let themselves be manipulated even though they know it,they just cant help it
I dont think your life is full of doom and darkness..I think I see a rare bright light shining
love may have let you down ,but you are never at end of the rope, and not losing mind
you will be truly loved..its a gift from heaven above..thats how I see it..a really good and lovely soul
I really enjoyed this..I hope you agree with me..I am sure this may be different from what you may think..
