Wonder

Wonder

A Poem by Sher A. Lynn

Silk hats and garlands,
silver cigarette holders and brocade pipes,
Lifeless swans that strangle the past away,
Albino deers and copper stags,
caught not in headlights but cross fire,
The dying of wonder.
