If I Had Wings...

If I had wings...
I would fly high into the sky,
to escape from all this pain.

If I had wings...
I would travel around the world,
for I know that's the only way I will see it all.

If I had wings...
I would go to the moon,
and look at the stars that shine upon your face.

If I had wings...
I would go to the beach,
and sit on the sand and dream about us
walking here someday hand in hand.

If I had wings...
I would fly to you,
and I would say...
"Let me be your wings so I can guide you to my
world for I know that there our love will never fade away."

And if you were here,
and I had wings...
then they would disappear,
for you are the only reason why I would stay.

wow! I really like this. I can feel the emotions of it just seeping through the words! I'm glad its not one of those poems about death. Those always bring my happiness down. But this is really good work! keep it up:]
