For I can love no one more than you

For I can love no one more than you

A Poem by Moonlight
"

this poem is about a boy who blames himself for the accident of his better half.

"

For I can love no one more than you…

A beautiful day,
A happy smile on your face,
Enough to make my day.

Crossing the crossing, that day
was the best day until
you came running towards me.

Your eyes, they twinkled
Your face, it glimmered
Your lips, they smiled
Because you saw me standing
Across from you.
So, you see…
It was my fault.

You used to sing like
the uncrowned nightingale
Singing deep within the forest.
I used to love your voice,
Your sweet song,
Singing the melody of my heart.

Now, I can’t hear you anymore…
And, I miss that voice beyond compare.

You ran towards me that day,
Unaware of the consequences.
You ran because I smiled.
My smile cursed your song.
My smile cursed your life…

You ran towards me smiling
And like a fool lost in your smile,
I smiled back at you.
And then, in a flash, you were gone.
You were hit by the truck
And I stood right where I was…
Frozen.

I saw your scarf blow away,
As you got thrown away
My heart stopped right there,
My eyes bled that day.

I saw you covered in blood…
Everywhere… your smile painted red.

You can’t sing anymore,
And I am the one to blame
But I need you to know,
That whenever I see you cry,
It’s  my heart that breaks.

But I am going to be here,
Right by your side.
We  are going to get married,
Just like you wanted.
Just like I promised.

For, to me, there is no other voice
Sweeter than yours…
That makes me smile not just from lips…
But from my heart.

So maybe when your sky comes crashing down…
I can be your angel on the ground.
My beating heart will wait for you
Until, even eternity, if it has to
For I can love no one more than you…
