From the Ashes

From the Ashes

A Poem by Sidonna

From the ashes
You build me up and you burn me down
I walk away without a sound
I lost my heart within the flame
Parched lips speak my name
From the ashes I shall rise
Above the blackened sky
From the ashes I purify
Broken spirit I can't deny
Scorched tears upon my cheek
Earth is not for the meek
Bound for the same dance
Look away without a glance
The Smoke perfumes my hair
As if the devil may care
From the ashes I will cry
From the ashes he will die
