Breathing oxygen

But I am not alive

I am death

Do not surrender to me

I can feel the sun

Heat my body up

But I'm still cold inside

I am darkness

Forever hiding

So you don't burn in my flame

 

I can hear

Listen to every word you say

But I can't believe it to be true

I am deaf

To your kind words and praises

So you don't become deaf as well

 

I can see

The love inside your eyes

But I put a wall in front of me

I am blindfolded

So I dont destroy all in my path

Please run away

 

I can taste

Fill up my stomach until I'm full

But I cannot swallow you

I am a sponge

Soaking everything up

And being squeezed empty again
