Wings Part II: Running Free

Wings Part II: Running Free

A Poem by Aurora Silverheart

I long to feel again

The wind slicing through my fur

Claws tearing the ground

Running fast

Swifter than light

Darker than dark

Silver eyes glisten

In the darkness

And I feel so light

So free

Earth holds me no more

I belong to the sky

And to the sky I will fly

On wings spun of moonbeams and gold

The solitary hunter

Flies through the night

Alone

Content

That is the wolf with wings.
