The Corpse

The Corpse

A Poem by Thanatos Darkraven

Behold this corpse!

Robbed of all its life!

Forgotten by those around it

Left to rot and decay

For all eternity

In solitude and lonliness.

Behold this corpse

That was once a man!

Once loved by all

And now missed by none

Deserted by both friend and foe

With none to call his own.

Behold this corpse

But suffer not you tears to fall

For he is beyond all help

Lost in the shuffle of time

A soulless shell wandering

The forsaken streets of Life.

Behlod this corpse!

The corpse that was once me!

Given over to darkness and despair

Crushed by the weight of reality

Never agian to know true love

But only to suffer frome a broken heart.
