Night Ride

Night Ride

A Poem by Silvia - Scribo, Ergo Sum!

Photobucket

It´s always sleep that brings me to You ...
Once drifted off in slumber,
I mount the steed of dreams at will
and cover any distance.

At daytimes, he is out to pasture;
Come night, however, I will halter him ...
And off we ride,
cloaked in darkness,
Saddled with desire,
Spurred by longing,
A head-free gallop eating up the miles that part us.

Until, alas, approaching dawn tuggs at the reigns
and sadly turns us round ...
