Make Top Writer. Make Top Writing.
So important, so important.
The writing´s crap?
I don´t belong there?

NOT with this one - that´s for certain.
But guess what:
Writers´ rankings? - They don´t matter.
Points and page views? - Never care.

What´s good is good - with points or none.
What´s bad is bad - yet make it to Number One.

dude?! What the heck, this is the third piece on this subject ive read tonight about this top writer shite, what does it mean anyway, to be said top writer? Does the Cafe have a host of publishers im not aware of? Do they troll the top writers pg? WTF? Hah, oh man.

I say bring back the challenge of writing amongst writers who *want critique* and readers tell you what they think can fix your s**t so the writer actually has something to ponder and maybe better themselves before their next post. Bring back the days of the same readers coming back the next day (after edit) to read and go "yeah, thats better." or "naw buddy, that's still a bit off, here's why I think so" etc..;)
Now that s**t, is worthwhile.

Gah, but I wish there wasn't reason to do so though. Top write? top writer? points? I've read some of those ppls works, just red roses and stuff, and mis-spellings in the second line, + repeating themselves. Geez.
Wtf does it do for your words. Insanity

I needed to laugh today. I hope that your piece actually get through many at the Cafe and that this place returns to a mecca for good writing and actual support of writing itself and not just adulation and praise over a handful of works lucky enough to be top dog for a day or so. Being at the top is good, don't get me wrong about that, but the fall is brutal and the backing you had is gone to "write the stuff that sells" and you are poetically up the creek without a freaking paddle. Write because you love it. If you gain recognition, great, if not, cool, at least you are writing and that is what makes a person rank high on the list of good writers.-Catrina
