Death,
Everywhere.
It lurks in every shadow.
No one can see it,
No one can feel it.
But it hides,
It waits,
Never betrays,
The promise it makes,
It always obeys...

True, it is all around us lurking in the shadows, and we never know when it is going to strike. None of us are exempt from it. From birth we are on a journey to death. Fortunately there is usually a good deal of time from one point to the other. Your short poem is well written.
