"One True Love"

A remembrance of a love past..

We were young, impetuous, boundless.

The love we shared was timeless, and true.

Like the endless days, and the sky bluer than blue.

 

We gave one another our hearts, and souls.

Spoke of future, past, present, and in between.

Never knowing that this would never be seen.

 

A dream?  No but felt dreamlike, suspended only in those moments.

Those moments of walking on air, butterflies in my stomach every time

you looked at me!  All of which now seem sublime.

 

I consider myself lucky to have had that one true love.

Some people never even feel an ounce of what we knew!

For this I am grateful, and I will always go on loving you..

Love is a total unconditional feel and this poem very well expressed it!

This is really sad and heart aching! As it's always very hard to carry on like this and to give a new beat to your broken heart ( but the fact is that a broken heart can't beat at all)... Also, I loved the structure of this write, as it's not easy to go with three lined stanzas..So, it's such a remarkable job!

That is a really good poem. It seems that whoever you wrote it to, you have a great connection with them. You would do anything for them, because you love them so much. We need more people in the world like you. The world would be a better place!!! Who is this wrote to.
