Human race

Human race

A Poem by z.chéri

Who are you?

I'd like to introduce you to the human race;

We are alive but
long for our death.

We are existing
instead of living.

Seasons are passing
and we don't seem
to mind.

Our hearts are slowly
beating and we beg
them to stop.

Ungrateful for life,
we complain about

Telling hated ones
that we love them.

Searching for real people
while we remain fake

Here's the human race,
full of expectations of others
that we don't fulfil ourselves.

I agree. :) x
Its so very true...
We expect much from others while setting pathetically low bars for ourselves...
I liked how you began your poem...
Very creative and real...
Great work:)
