A Poem by z.chéri

I am me.

Ask me if i believe in
fairy tales and i will tell
you that i do since i am
a princess, at least that's
what i am told to be.

I am meant to be soft
and delicate like a flower
just starting to go but they
don't want me to fully erupt
into the vibrant, fully formed flower.

I am loud yet quiet,
I am soft yet strong,
I am a princess but I am me.

Author's Note

Sorry I've been gone for so long. As you may be able to tell from this poem, I have been very uninspired and haven't been able to write as well as i used too. Hope you are all doing well! - Melody x

I liked the last stanza a lot. There is strength in your words and the tone of this poem is effective. Don't bother what everyone calls you.

Inspiration drifts like ocean tides... One second you are up to your neck in swirling currents of flow, and the next you are barefoot and dry in the sand... The only thing to do is keeeeeep writing, and keeeep trying... Keep at it, this was a simple and sweet poem, and I surely would like to see more... Very nicely penned
