Forever And Always.

Forever And Always.

A Poem by Simran Kewlani
"

Just because somebody pretends to be okay, it does not mean they actually are okay.

"
Forever and Always.
"Forever", she said with adoration in her eyes,
Little did she know the listener's heart was of ice.

The long talks and giddy smiles,
Made her feel sick of life.

She was devastated,
He was looking fine.

She was locked in her room with a smudged face and red shot eyes,
He stayed with friends full of life.

She blamed and called herself ugly,
His dimples popped out with each smile.

She sat alone,
He hooked up again.

She then went to bed with tears in her eyes,
He then went to bed missing her beautiful eyes.

He wanted her back,
So did she.

He loved her beyond infinity,
She loved him too.

"Forever and Always", they said and stayed happy again.

When you are young, love is a fickle thing. One day they want to date you, then next they don't like you anymore. Wait a week, and they want you back. You expressed this fickleness really well.. Boys are indecisive creatures, untouched by our emotions. Learn to take care of yourself and make yourself happy without a partner. You will attract more boys if you are happily alone, doing your own thing. Don't expect a boy to make you happy. You need to stand on your own two feet and find your own interests and your own passions. Someone who shares the same interests will find you and want to share those things together. That makes for a much better, more balanced relationship. Take care, and nice writing.

Yeah, it is. It's a beautiful occurrence. Rare but beautiful, indeed.

Sorry. I might have forgotten since I sent it to everybody not show it.
Thank you, anyway. :)
Nice twist at the end, I thought it's a poem expressing sadness and betrayal. Nicely penned, I enjoyed it...:)

Thank you, Sanjh. :)
Hey - the first part I saw the classic tale of women and their emotions while the man seems to roll on in life ... Then I was surprised they got back together again ... I had to ask myself, how could he be totally smitten again ?? Love is indeed a funny thing ...

I wonder how your poem would sound if you replaced the words; went was, she and he ?

I'll figure it out.
Thank you.xx
its like a movie plot, boy meets girl, boy losses girl, boy finds girl again, happy ever after, its a familiar tale except in this poem its the girl who's losing and finding, but he realized she was the only one for him and she had the strength and the grace to forgive, maybe if 2 people could do this more we may have a better world, thank you Simran for this beautiful tale of true love :)
